This is the stage where your potential customer is asking very general “how to” or “what is” questions about their problem or pain point.
Now is not the time to jump right into product-specific features and benefits, but to demonstrate that you understand the problem.
In the consideration stage, potential customers have honed in on the problem they would like to solve and are evaluating potential solutions. This is where your potential customer begins asking more product-specific questions. You can help potential customers in this stage by providing more general knowledge about your industry or how your product or service solves a particular problem.
This is where you show your expertise and build trust. Video is excellent in this stage because it can distill a ton of information in a short amount of time.
In the decision stage, potential customers are getting ready to, well, make a decision. They have seen your and your competitor’s offerings and are ready to pull the trigger. This is where you should convince potential customers that you are the right choice.
Video works great at this stage because it can provide a more personal and human touch.
In the retention stage, you have a customer and you’d like them to continue to be a customer. This is where you should help new customers get the most out of their investment in your product by showcasing relevant use cases and answering common questions.
