Just saw this announcement on ReelSEO, and I couldn’t believe it. YouTube is looking to make annotations more interactive ? Do people really like those DVD style games ? According to Google’s data it doesn’t look like they’re picking up steam:

Most of the use cases you mention are already possible with annotations and hotspots today, so I have a feeling this patent has less to do with making interactive games and more to do with in video advertising.
