YouTube Groups

The BASTARD child of YouTube

I say this because Groups are completely absent from the Tube’s of You:

If you can find groups, please let me know.

Anyway, YouTube Groups do still exist if you go to YouTube.com/Groups. Go there and you will be met with a cornucopia of angry/weird groups. I guarantee it.

Here are a few that I saw:

• f*@% YouTube Team for allowing this kind of abuse
• Mario and Zelda Rocks
• WE HATE HIT ENTERTAI­NMENT!!!­!!!!!!!
• SUB 4 SUB AND BACK!!

While I agree that Mario and Zelda in fact rock, I don’t believe YouTube is really putting their best foot forward for a Groups homepage.

Even worse, if you try using the only search bar on the page to find more civilized groups…

You’ll be searching for videos… not groups. Not even and option to sort for groups.

Because of this, I created a YouTube Group Custom Search Engine that works ‘OK’.

Still, why are YouTube Groups being given the cold shoulder ?
