Great beginner-aimed vid. Some general comments/questions:

Your 'announcer voice' is awesome. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=7QPMvj_xejg

Bonus points for your use of both 'buttload' and 'keyword diarrhea'.

What are your screencasting and video editing tools?

Your site format and style is pretty kickass.

Hope to see much more in the future.

Thanks for the feedback, Jon!
Free software is available to edit the meta data of your video file. I have used XnView before to edit the EXIF & IPTC metadata of a video file:

Don’t be fooled by all the image talk, XnView also works with most popular video files. However, I recently found that Google’s Picasa can do pretty much the same thing and has a slightly nicer interface.

Do keep in mind that when uploading a video to a sharing site (like YouTube) all the file meta data is lost. File meta data is only helpful if you are self hosting your video content, otherwise it may be wasted effort.

As for video editing software, everyone has their favorites. For basic trimming and editing I have no problem using Windows Movie Maker since it came preloaded, but a copy of Adobe Premiere Elements is running for about $60 and would be a nice way to start moving beyond the basics:

Thanks again for visiting !

Good stuff here.

Any recommendations about basic video editing software programs? Mainly just for editing meta data and such, maybe cutting the length down... not looking to do effects and all that.

Hi Zak,

Glad you enjoyed the video !

I've been using Camtasia for all my screen recording needs (the makers of SnagIt). It just gets out of my way and let's me work (like Google Chrome).

Then I edit all the audio and video together using Adobe Premiere. It's no Final Cut Pro, but that's the best I can get on a PC.

BTW, I loved the Don LaFontaine video clip.
